  2. Be able to make links between the assessments used and the exit outcomes of the children
  3. Know the difference between assessment for and assessment of learning
  4. Know more about the IPC Assessment for Learning programme, including the recording database

By the end of this unit, you will:

  1. Know the key principles of and reasons for Assessment for Learning
  2. Know about and be able to put into practice the different ways in which knowledge , skills and understanding are assessed and how this relates to IPC Assessment for Learning programme
  3. Developed your knowledge and understanding of a consistent approach to Assessment for Learning and how assessments can be linked to the exit outcomes of the children
  4. Be able to use both assessment for and assessment of learning to improve children’s learning
  5. Developed your knowledge and understanding of the IPC Assessment for Learning programme, including the recording database
  6. Be able to use the IPC Accreditation rubrics to make an initial evaluation of your school’s current status

By the end of this unit, you will:

  1. Consolidated your knowledge and understanding of how to find out what children have learned and how to improve learning
  2. Be able to implement IPC Assessment for Learning programme, how to provide feedback to children, readjust planning for learning and teaching
  3. Be able to use the IPC Assessment for Learning recording database
  4. Consolidated your understanding of how all the stakeholders in the school know about the range of assessment procedures to set whole- school, class and individual children’s targets to improve learning
  5. Be able to use the IPC Accreditation rubrics to make an evaluation of your school’s current status
