Description
World Cup 2010, A unit for children aged 5-7 years
This unit will focus on the World Cup.
In Geography, children’ll be:
- Finding out how to use maps and make plans for a World Cup stadium
- Finding out how far the World Cup stadium is from our home and home and/or host country
In History, childeren’ll be:
- Finding out about football in the past and some things that are the same and things
that are different to the present - Finding out what happened at different times in the past
In Physical Education, children’ll be:
- Developing our football skills and learning from some other children
- Playing a short game of football and learning some of the rules
In Science, children’ll be:
- Finding out about different materials used to make balls
- Finding out what happens to different materials
In ICT, children’ll be:
- Using the Internet to find information about the World Cup
- Using ICT to record our work
