World Cup 2010, A unit for children aged 7-9 years
This unit will focus on the World Cup.
In Geography, children’ll be:
- Finding out about the size of each of the stadiums, where the stadiums are found in
South Africa and what other features there are in the area
- Finding out what the weather is like in South Africa and what we could see and do there
In
History, children’ll be:
- Finding out about how football started and about some of the previous World Cup events
- Finding out about how a footballer’s kit has changed over time
In
Physical Education, children’ll be:
- Developing our football skills
- Learning more about the rules of the game
In
Technology, children’ll be:
- Planning for, designing and creating our own World Cup T-shirt
In
ICT, children’ll be:
- Using the Internet to find information about the World Cup
- Using ICT to record our work
