My class and I are getting to grips with the 'World Cup' topic you sent us. We spent part of the day yesterday painting flags on our faces and are bunting flags are decorating the classroom! The children are thoroughly enjoying the topic so far, even those children who aren't keen on football! Having looked through the information pack you sent us, I would have to say that this is the path I want my teaching to follow. It is structured and yet flexible enough to marry itself perfectly with the island's 'Freedom to Flourish' ethos.

The ideas in the unit were detailed and motivational for children and we have used some of them in all our classes over the past couple of weeks. Particularly at a cross-school World Cup day last Friday. We had them researching/creating/composing in mixed age groups in the morning before a multi-age football tournament in the afternoon.
